Frequently Asked Questions

At biorecover, we respect your privacy. This demonstration platform stores subscription parameters locally in your browser's localStorage key (biorecover_newsletter_emails). No personal data or form inputs are transmitted to external servers or third-party marketing services.

We have written this policy in plain language so it is genuinely readable. If any part is unclear, or if you would like to exercise any of the rights described below, please reach out through our contact page.

1. Information We Collect

biorecover is designed as a privacy-first demonstration platform. We do not require account registration to browse content, view project examples, or use the interactive Energy Needs Explorer. The only information we collect is what you voluntarily submit through the newsletter subscription form — your email address — and that data is stored exclusively on your own device.

Contact and inquiry form submissions are validated in your browser and are not transmitted to any server, database, or third-party service. The success message you receive confirms local validation only, not remote receipt.

2. Local Storage Usage

This website uses client-side browser localStorage to retain newsletter subscription records under the key biorecover_newsletter_emails. This data lives entirely on your own device and cannot be accessed by us remotely.

Clearing your browser cache or site data will permanently remove all stored records. You may also disable localStorage in your browser settings, though doing so will reset your subscription status between visits. The unsubscribe function removes your email address from local storage immediately upon submission.

3. Analytics and Cookies

We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, and no behavioral profiling technologies. Aggregated, anonymized analytics may be reviewed internally to understand which pages and articles are most useful to visitors, but this data cannot be traced back to any individual.

Essential session cookies may be used solely to maintain page context and support basic navigation. No personally identifiable tracking data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties under any circumstances.

4. Third-Party Services

Our website incorporates third-party services for image hosting (Unsplash), font delivery (Google Fonts), icon libraries (Font Awesome), and CSS framework delivery (Tailwind CDN). These providers may set their own technical cookies or collect standard request data (IP address, user agent) as part of serving their assets. We do not control these providers' privacy practices and recommend reviewing their respective policies if you have specific concerns.

5. Data Retention

Newsletter subscription records are retained within your browser's localStorage until you clear them or unsubscribe through the newsletter form. Because we never receive this data remotely, there is no server-side retention period to disclose.

6. Your Rights

You may modify or remove your stored newsletter email address at any time using the unsubscribe function on the newsletter form. Because no personal data is transmitted to or stored on our servers, there is no separate data deletion request process required — clearing your browser storage removes all records that exist.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may hold the right to access, correct, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data. If you have any question about how these rights apply to a platform that stores data only on your own device, please contact us through the details provided on our contact page.

7. Children's Privacy

Our content is intended for general audiences aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has submitted personal data, we will delete it promptly.

8. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be revised periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal obligations. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always indicate the most recent revision. Continued use of the site following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

This website is an educational demonstration platform designed to showcase architectural clean energy concepts. All project statistics, capacities, and savings guidance provided herein are illustrative and do not constitute formal engineering advice, quotes, or guaranteed performance metrics.

By accessing or navigating biorecover, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the terms and specifications described below. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the site.

1. Educational Purpose & Demonstration Scope

biorecover is a conceptual platform. Every project profile, system specification, and metric shown — including capacity figures, panel counts, production estimates, and payback projections — is illustrative and designed to demonstrate clean energy concepts rather than to reflect verified installations.

The "Featured Projects" section describes installations that would be representative of typical residential and commercial clean energy work. The "Concept Projects" section explores architectures that are technically viable but not yet built. Concept and featured work are labeled separately on the project page for this reason.

2. No Engineering or Financial Advice

Nothing published on biorecover constitutes formal engineering, financial, tax, or legal advice. All energy modeling, savings projections, and system sizing guidance presented here is educational in nature and must not be relied upon for actual project decisions.

Before commissioning any solar, storage, or energy optimization system, consult licensed professionals in your jurisdiction — including structural engineers, electrical contractors, and financial advisors — who can evaluate the specifics of your property and utility territory.

3. Interactive Tools & Energy Needs Explorer

The Energy Needs Explorer and any other interactive tools on this site run entirely in your browser and produce educational guidance only. Results are not engineering quotes, system designs, or commercial offers. No user input is transmitted to any server.

Where the Explorer produces a recommendation to explore one energy pathway over another, that recommendation reflects the simplified logic of the demonstration tool, not a professional assessment of your actual property.

4. Intellectual Property

All editorial text, custom layout structures, brand graphics, and the biorecover wordmark are the property of biorecover and protected under copyright. Photography used throughout the site is sourced from Unsplash and remains the property of its respective photographers under their individual licenses.

You may share links to our pages and quote brief excerpts with proper attribution for non-commercial purposes. Republishing full articles, redistributing project descriptions at scale, or using our branding in a manner that implies endorsement is strictly prohibited.

5. Newsletter Subscription

Newsletter subscription is handled entirely on the client side and stores your email address only in your own browser. Because the platform does not transmit this data, there is no mailing list in the conventional sense — the "subscription" is a local record intended to demonstrate the interface.

If you have any doubt about what the subscription does or does not do, the unsubscribe function removes your email address from local storage immediately upon submission.

6. Third-Party Links

Our pages may reference external standards bodies, utility companies, or government incentive programs for educational context. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, policies, or practices of any external site. Links are provided for reference only.

7. User Conduct

By using this site, you agree not to attempt unauthorized access to any part of the platform, scrape content at scale, inject malicious code, or interfere with the experience of other visitors. We reserve the right to restrict access to any user who violates these expectations.

8. Limitation of Liability

biorecover, its editors, contributors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or reliance on its content. All information is consumed at your own discretion and risk.

9. Governing Terms

These Terms of Use may be updated at any time without prior notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
